How To Ask For MORE
Asking for more isn’t selfish. In fact, more often than not, it’s the only way you’re going to get what you want. Maybe it’s been a good-but-not-great FWB sesh, or you’ve asked your friend for advice and been left cold. But whether you’re asking for more from your partner emotionally, more mimosas at bottomless brunch, or more money at work, it isn’t always easy to ask for what you deserve. Which is why we’ve put together our VUSH approved tips for asking for more.
Know you deserve it
You are 100% worthy of what you want. Go in confident knowing you deserve what you’re asking for. Stop questioning if you deserve the things you want in life - you do! Know what you want and go for it, babe.
Choose the right time
Requesting more quality time with your partner the day after you missed their birthday is a bad call. Pick your moment.
Have your proof ready
Bring. Those. Receipts. Asking for a raise? Show them exactly how you’ve been kicking goals at work. Part of knowing your worth is knowing WHY that’s your worth.
Break the cycle
Figure out what has stopped you before now. Then smash it out of your way - you’ve got places to be and goals to achieve!
Shed the shame
“But it’s awkward!” Good news - it doesn’t have to be! Lead by example and show you’re comfortable talking about it. It will lead to a more open and productive discussion. This means no opening the chat with Hey, so this is super awkward but… or Sorry I know this isn’t a priority…
Accept feedback
If you’re about to ask your brother to contribute more to organising Mothers Day, you should prepare to be reminded about how little you did to help with dad’s birthday.
Suggest a solution or a result
Let’s be proactive babe! Providing a problem and a solution is super helpful, and low-key a great way to get what you want. If you’re talking to your partner about needing more foreplay, suggest introducing a toy like Rose 2 for some good vibes.
Request accountability
This ensures it’s on record that you’ve had this discussion and want to see progression. For example, if you feel your doctor is being dismissive, request that they make a note on your file that they declined to conduct more tests. This one is less for personal situations but perfect for professional ones...although if anyone can get their partner to sign an agreement to give them more orgasms, we’ll frame a picture of you at VUSH HQ.
Say it with us babe:
I want more. I deserve more. I’m going to get more.
Invite more into your life and say a big (HUGE) yes to getting what you want!
If what you want is more orgasms (guilty as charged) and more self love, then take that cute face of yours over to check out the VUSH Next Generation Collection now. Go on, you deserve it.
