If My Experience Has Taught Me Anything, It’s This:

[2 Minute Read]

Sex was hard (LOL) for me when I was growing up.

It was never as simple as lying back, opening my legs and..you get the idea. I’d try to ‘get it in’ and I’d experience a terrible burning pain in-between my legs which would last for hours and hours. I thought I was broken, a rubbish female who’d never be able to enjoy sex ever again.

I later discovered I had a condition called vaginismus, a condition where the pelvic floor muscles spasm. Making sex painful, uncomfortable and sometimes impossible.

I can’t tell you why I developed this, one day it wasn’t a problem and then one day it was. Maybe a mixture of having the wrong partner, developing a nice bit of thrush and feeling like sex was wrong or dirty.

I also suspect, because I’m a girl, I spent a lot of my time believing that 'the sex' part of sex, wasn’t really about me. As long as he was having a nice time then I was having a nice time too *huge eye roll*.

Luckily, ten years down the line, after a bit of therapy and meeting the right person, it’s safe to say my vagina is fixed. I can’t put into words how relieved, how happy and how liberated I am. I feel ’normal’, I feel lucky, I can (and do) enjoy having sex!

If my experience has taught me anything, it's this: female pleasure is important. It affects so much more than what's going on in the bedroom. It affects your mental health, your self-worth and your self-confidence.
Which is why I'm happier than a Kardashian in a Ferrari to be collaborating with Vush and promoting the Empress vibrator. Vush is breaking the stigma around self-love and promoting women empowerment.

If there had been less embarrassment around female pleasure when I was growing up then maybe I could have been saved from vaginismus.

Honestly, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Empress as it is UNLIKE ANY OTHER PRODUCT OUT THERE! I've also included some key features and a link to their website so you can learn more about why it's so good.

I hope there comes a time when products like the Empress are an essential item for women, just like that mascara you can't live without or the face mask you always use on the weekend.
