MEET THE FAM: @emmajfleming_
Introducing the ever so lovely Emma Flemming aka @emmajfleming_ to your feed. We asked Emma so deep and intriguing questions so read on to find out how it went below.
What are three things you’d tell your younger self?
You are not here to perform for these boys - Things will get better my love - You were never weird for feeling this way.
What are your tips for anyone who is overcoming the stigma around self-pleasure?
Put yourself first. Your body is your home, it deserves love and attention. Never let anyone tell you there is something wrong with that.
Why was it important for you to join the movement to normalize female self-pleasure?
It’s all about equality and freedom, men have had their sex lives celebrated since the beginning of time, women are still unpicking and combating centuries of oppression - it’s less overt now, which can sometimes make it more sinister. Faking orgasms, performing in the bedroom, slut-shaming confident women. It’s all connected and all goes back to shame. This is why normalising female self-pleasure is so important!
What are your three tips to discover and own your self-worth?
If you had no one else’s opinion of something, what would you be doing right now? Now go do that. - Take some time for yourself, it builds your independence so well - Talk to yourself like you would talk to your best friend
What are your favourite ways to treat yourself to more self-love?
I adore watching my favourite programmes in the bath, so relaxing and cosy!
Not going to say you need to check out the new VUSH Next Generation Self Love range but if Emma hasn’t inspired you then let us be the reason to get into the mood.
